KOSOVO

Chair

Kosovo, with a population of approximately 1.8 million (2023), is a landlocked country in the Balkans known for its rich cultural heritage and complex history. The economy is in a phase of development, characterized by sectors such as services, agriculture, and remittances from the diaspora. Services, particularly in trade and public administration, play a significant role in economic activity, while agriculture, including the production of grains, fruits, and livestock, is vital for rural communities.

With a GDP estimated at around $8 billion and a per capita income of approximately $4,400 (2023), Kosovo faces challenges in terms of economic growth and employment. However, its young population and potential for natural resource development present opportunities for future growth.
